UN labour agency welcomes G20 proposals on job creationListen /
The head of the International Labour Organization (ILO) says proposals by G20 governments to boost efforts to promote jobs and economic growth are "a major step forward."
ILO Director-General Guy Ryder was speaking in Moscow on Friday, where Labour and Employment Ministers from the world's major economies wrapped up their two-day meeting with a declaration that covers job creation, equity and inclusion.
The ILO chief had presented the ministers with analyses of policy actions taken by G20 countries following previous meetings.
He said it was encouraging to see governments are increasingly ready to take concrete actions to increase job growth.
