Secretary-General repeats call for dialogue in Bahrain following bomb attack

The UN Secretary-General has condemned a bomb attack at a mosque in Bahrain earlier this week.

In a statement attributable to his spokesperson, Ban Ki-moon expresses concern about the recent increase in violence in the country.

According to media reports, no one was hurt in the blast which took place at a mosque in the city of Riffa on Wednesday evening.

Mr. Ban reiterated his call on the Government and people of Bahrain to engage in an all–inclusive, meaningful dialogue in order to defuse tensions, promote reforms and foster reconciliation.
