NASA chief sees role for global participation in deep space exploration

The United States is looking to strengthen its partnerships with the UN and other countries in the promotion of the peaceful uses of outer space.

That's what Charles Bolden, head of NASA, the country's National Aeronautics and Space Administration, told journalists in Vienna on Tuesday.

He was speaking at a press briefing held by the UN Committee on the Peaceful uses of Outer Space.
