UN expert on children and armed conflict presents latest report to Security Council

From Syria to Mali to the Central African Republic, children continue to pay a heavy toll in conflict, a senior UN official told the Security Council on Monday.

Leila Zerrougui, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, presented her latest report to Council members, which covers the period from January to December 2012.
