Business can no longer afford a 'blind spot' to disaster risk: Ban Ki-moon

There is need for business leaders to focus on investing in disaster risk reduction.

That's the message delivered by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during the launch of a major United Nations report on disaster risk reduction.

The Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction this year is titled "From Shared Risk to Shared Value: The Business Case for Disaster Risk Reduction".

It is a major initiative of the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction.
