An agreement to work on an action plan to prevent and reduce non-communicable diseases is one of the outcomes of the session of the World Health Assembly that has just concluded in Geneva.
Since Monday last week, health ministers as well as United Nations and other health experts from around the world have been discussing a number of public health issues.
These issues include blindness, disability, mental health, neglected tropical diseases and non-communicable diseases.
