Men and boys get involved in promoting gender equality in MozambiqueListen /
Violence against women is a serious problem in Mozambique and one man from the Southern African country is working to get men and boys involved in fighting this scourge.
Júlio Langa is the National Coordinator of the Men for Change Network, based in the Mozambican capital, Maputo.
UN Radio's Derrick Mbatha caught up with Mr. Langa when he attended a recent meeting of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
He says his network of 18 organizations and individual members seeks to change the behaviour of men and boys by getting them involved in working for gender equality.
