UN Disarmament Commission meeting

The latest session of the UN Disarmament Commission opened on Monday in New York.

Established more than 60 years ago, it is the oldest component of the UN disarmament machinery.

Dianne Penn reports that the Commission still continues to face new and continuing challenges, including nuclear proliferation and the possibility of nuclear weapons falling into the wrong hands.
