Displaced people in Central African Republic

A special flight chartered by the UN children's agency (UNICEF) has delivered over 23 tons of supplies to conflict ravaged Central African Republic.

Recent looting as rebels took over the country left hospitals and health facilities without medical supplies and equipment.

UN Radio's Gerry Adams spoke with Robert McCarthy, UNICEF's Emergency Coordinator for the country, who says while the supplies have been secured at the airport, the overall situation in the Central African Republic is still volatile.
