The Arms Trade Treaty should not be written by Syria says OXFAM

Listen /

Ms. Anna MacDonald, Head of Arms Control – Oxfam

Negotiations on the Arms Trade Treaty continue at the United Nations with only three days left for reaching an agreement.

Anna MacDonald, Head of Control Arms at Oxfam expressed concern that there's too much talk of consensus and the need to agree with and accommodate the views of very skeptical states; who will not sign the treaty and who will not engage constructively in the talks. She says "This treaty should not be written by Syria."
