Voices from the negotiations for an international Arms Trade Treaty
• Negotiations for a global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) conclude this week at UN headquarters in New York. Ghanaian MP Irene Addo Torshie is among a group of parliamentarians calling for a strong ATT. She says elected officials are the best advocates for the treaty because they represent their people.
Peacebuilding Commission official says Liberia "should not be forgotten"
• Staffan Tillander, chair of the UN Peacebuilding Commission's Liberia configuration, is urging the international community not to forget about the country. The Swedish diplomat reports on the week-long mission he led to Liberia in February.
