On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2013, the head of UN Women says discrimination and violence against women and girls have no place in the 21st century. Michelle Bachelet says “Enough is enough”, in a message of both outrage and hope that discrimination and violence must end.

The song you've been listening to is the first theme song for a UN organization called "One Woman: A song for UN Women". This song was launched on International Women's Day. The "One Woman" song is a musical celebration of women worldwide, featuring 25 artists from 20 countries. Beng Poblete-Enriquez sat down with Debi Nova, a singer-songwriter from Costa Rica. Debi encourages artists to use their power of communication to help others to break the cycle of violence against women.
