Safety of Radio Journalists
Listen /In 2012 alone, an alarming number of journalists around the world, including radio journalists, have been killed simply for doing their job.
While some of these reporters have been killed in areas of armed conflict, a majority are murdered as a direct reprisal to reporting news in their communities.
Donn Bobb spoke with Guy Berger, the Director of Freedom of Expression and Media Development at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and asked him why the attacks on radio journalists.
