Women make nearly as much money as men in most countries, says an International Labour Organization report.

But according to the report, that may just mean that men are worse off now than before the global economic crisis.

It goes on to say that there are major differences across the globe when it comes to how much men and women are paid.

For example, men worked in sectors that were hardest hit by the crisis and also worked fewer hours, which helped to narrow the pay gap. And in some Middle Eastern countries, few women are employed and those who are, earn more than men.
