The head of the UN agency which assists Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) is calling on the international community to "seize the opportunity" presented by last week's ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Filippo Grandi is urging that "the real problems underlying the crisis" must be addressed.
He was speaking on Monday at the UNRWA Advisory Commission meeting at the Dead Sea in Jordan, where he also voiced concern for the half-million Palestinian refugees caught in the crisis in Syria.
UN Radio's Donn Bobb telephoned UNRWA spokesman, Chris Gunness, who's at that meeting, to find out more.
