Sustainable development is an "uphill task" for developing countries: India

That's what the Minister of External Affairs of India S. M. Krishna told the General Assembly during its general debate on Monday.
He said that the West Asia and North Africa regions are seeing unprecedented socio-political upheaval.
"Developing countries are still to recover from the downturn in the global economy. Their quest for poverty eradication and sustainable development remains an uphill task. Food and energy security as well as health and education for their population remain daunting challenges."

The Foreign Minister of India also said that the question of Palestine remains unresolved.
