Nobel Peace Prize winner calls for justice in Syria
Listen /The 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman from Yemen has called for support for the Syrian people and for the United Nations to act whenever injustice is found.
Ms. Karman made the appeal on Monday during the World Forum for Democracy taking place in Strasbourg, France.
She said democratic and civil rights for all citizens can no longer be disregarded today.
"And in many countries in the world, what we're lacking is an institutional framework, is a regional international mechanism to make sure that these principles are enjoyed by all the people in all countries."

Ms. Karman said the Nobel Peace Prize she received on the 7th of October 2011, was not just for her, but for all those who are fighting for just causes.
