Asia-Pacific leaders meet to map out sustainable transportation network
Listen /Policymakers and experts from 23 Asian countries are meeting this week to further plans for a sustainable regional transport and logistics network.
An integrated transportation system would help spur growth while improving access to economic opportunities and social services for all people, according to the UN office for the region.
The three-day meeting, which opened on Wednesday in Bangkok, follows on from the Rio+20 conference on sustainable development held in Brazil in June.
