Secretary-General shares expectations ahead of General Assembly debate

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Heads of state will once again converge on New York for the annual general debate of the United Nations General Assembly which begins on Tuesday.

For UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is in his second term at the head of the global organization, the two weeks of speeches, meetings and other high-level events is an opportunity to learn from world leaders.

Mr. Ban sat down with Monica Villela Grayley to explain why it is important for young people to maintain faith in the UN, and what he particularly enjoys about this period in the United Nations calendar.
