There is still chance for a two-State solution to the Middle East crisis, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas told world leaders on Thursday.
Addressing the General Assembly, President Abbas said Palestinians and Israelis must co-exist in their respective states.
"The establishment of a free and independent state of Palestine is a sacred right of the Palestinian people and a due entitlement that must be realized for it has been long overdue for too many decades. It's not a grant bestowed upon us by anyone. It is a right, and the Palestinian people are entitled to this right." (Duration: 33″)
President Abbas said the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires the sincere intention of achieving peace.
