Israel warns General Assembly of the danger of a nuclear Iran
Listen /There is no greater peril to the global common future than arming Iran with nuclear weapons, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In his address to the General Assembly on Thursday, Prime Minister Netanyahu told world leaders it would be very dangerous to assume a nuclear Iran could be deterred.
"Shockingly, some people have begun to peddle the absurd notion that a nuclear-armed Iran would actually stabilize the Middle East. Yeah, right. That's like saying a nuclear-armed Al Qaeda would usher in an era of universal peace." (Duration: 19″)
Prime Minister Netanyahu said a decade of diplomacy has not stopped Iran's nuclear programme.
