Listen /Countries are being urged to strengthen the rule of law, which is in the best interest of all people.
That was the message UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon delivered to the General Assembly on Monday.
Mr. Ban called for action in five areas, including supporting UN initiatives through measures such as training police officers and enhancing the judiciary in fragile countries.
"I count on you to help forge a new, structured approach to strengthening the rule of law and delivering justice so we can achieve peace, development and human rights. Strengthening the rule of law is for every country and is in everyone's interest. It is as essential within countries as it is among the family of nations." (Duration: 26″)
