The UN says investing in women in Cambodia is smart economics

Investing in women's entrepreneurial leadership and the empowerment of women is smart economics says the head of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP).

Noeleen Heyzer spoke from Pnom Phen, Cambodia where she met with senior policy makers and women business leaders on Wednesday.

She said global financial challenges have forced Cambodia to look at new and creative ways to boost the regional economy.

Dr. Heyzer spoke to Gail Walker about some of the challenges that Cambodia has faced.
