Secretary-General highlights 'Education First' during visit to Timor-Leste
Listen /Education is at the heart of development, according to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon who on Thursday concluded a two-day mission to Timor-Leste.
Mr. Ban unveiled a new global initiative which aims to improve the quality of education and to put all children in school.
He was joined by Irina Bokova, Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and former United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown, his Special Envoy for Global Education.
