Syrian Government and anti-government forces have committed war crimes, says the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria.
In a report released on Wednesday, the panel says government forces are responsible for crimes against humanity, murder, torture and gross violations of human rights.
The report adds that the war crimes, including murder, extrajudicial killings and torture perpetrated by anti-government forces are not of the same gravity, frequency and scale as those committed by Government forces.
Paulo Pinheiro the Chairman of the independent panel says the situation has dramatically changed and deteriorated since the last report in February this year.
"The human rights violations and war crimes have been intensified during this period, particularly after June and the situation of human rights in every sense, in terms of the survival, the humanitarian situation but also concerning unlawful killings, torture and disappearances, then the situation is very bleak."
