Cambodian workers receive disability benefits through new ILO-supported scheme

Vong Sreymom lost her arm in a road accident while commuting to a job in a garment factory.

A new government-run insurance scheme in Cambodia means workers who are injured on the job or in transit to their workplace now receive compensation.

Administered by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), the system was developed with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the government of the Republic of Korea.
