Iraqi refugees flee violence in Syria
Listen /
More than 10,000 Iraqis have returned home from Syria over the past week. They, along with Syrians, are fleeing the violence that has been escalating in Syria for more than a year.
In addition to those returning home, thousands of additional Iraqi refugees have had to relocate from the Damascus suburb of Seida Zeinab to other areas.
About one million internally displaced Syrians find themselves in similar difficult circumstances, says UNHCR, the UN refugee agency.
