What's for lunch?

For Tyler Cowen, an American economist, blogger and author of the new book 'An Economist Gets Lunch,' the combination special at the local fast food restaurant is probably not on the menu.

Cowen, an adventurous and conscientious eater; encourages people to explore different cuisines and to shop at ethnic supermarkets.

Rebecca Kaufman of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently spoke with Cowen, who says his book aims to get readers thinking about the economics behind every meal.
