UN mission releases report on inter-communal violence in Jonglei State
Listen /The United Nations Mission in South Sudan known as UNMISS has released a report on the findings of its in-depth investigation into the inter-communal violence in Jonglei State that claimed the lives of hundreds in 2011 and early 2012.
The report, "Incidents of Inter-communal Violence in Jonglei State," documents crimes and human rights violations that took place during the attacks and provides nine recommendations to avert future major outbreaks of violence.
UN Radio's Patrick Maigua spoke with Richard Bennett, Director of the UNMISS Human Rights Division, about the inter-communal clashes in Jonglei State in South Sudan, one of the world's newest nations.
