A number of United Nations have hailed the 'REACH' Initiative on child under-nutrition as a foundation for sustainable development goals.
The Initiative, which brings together the World Food Programme, UNICEF, the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization, offers practical and effective approaches to reducing under-nutrition in the most heavily burdened countries.
But the challenge has been how to scale up programmes so that they can have a real impact.

REACH currently operates in 13 countries and also provides guidance on how to allocate scarce resources to turn national policies on child under-nutrition into action plans.
