Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra performs at the UN

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra is giving a special performance at the United Nations to celebrate the 66th Presidency of the General Assembly and in support of UN Women.
Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the President of the General Assembly says the concert is one way of raising awareness of the work of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.
"The issue of women and girls and children is our top priority. Also the music that Qatar orchestra will perform, as you know music bridges the culture between countries and as part of cultural diversity. So that's why the orchestra is going to perform."
The concert will be available LIVE and ON-DEMAND Wednesday starting at 7pm New York time on UN Webcast at www.un.org\webcast
