It is five years since Israel imposed a blockade on Gaza which has created hardships for Palestinians in the territory.

On Thursday seven United Nations Agencies and a number of international charities signed a statement calling for the lifting of the blockade.

They say that 1.6 million people, more than half of whom are children, have been under the blockade.

To find out more about the blockade, Reem Abaza spoke to Filippo Grandi, the head of the UN Refugee Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
