Clashes continue between West Bank settlers and Palestinians
Listen /Clashes between Israeli settlers and Palestinians continued in the West Bank over the past month, according to a new report to the UN Security Council.
UN Assistant Secretary-General Oscar Fernandez-Taranco pointed to attacks on Israelis in the West Bank and Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians.
“Early this morning, a mosque near Ramallah was spray painted and set on fire. The attack is linked to the Israeli decision to evacuate the Ulpana outpost, adjacent to the settlement of Beit El. We note that the Israeli government has condemned this desecration and vowed to use all means necessary to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The United Nations condemns this flagrant act against a Muslim holy site and calls upon the Israeli government to protect Palestinian individuals and property.”
