Celebrating World Environment Day with Gisele Bündchen
Listen /United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Gisele Bündchen has planted the first of 50,000 new trees in Quinta da Boa Vista Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to mark World Environment Day, 5 June.
The supermodel had competed against fellow UNEP Goodwill Ambassador Don Cheadle to win the new trees for her home country of Brazil.
At the event Monday Ms. Bündchen said this is about the future of the next generation.
“I think that the most important thing one can do is to raise awareness and educate people on what is really happening to the environment. And also what everyone can do as citizens. How we can do our part.”
