Liberia has made significant progress on the political, economic and social services fronts.

That's what has been said by Ambassador Susan Rice of the United States who is part of a Security Council delegation to West Africa.

Liberia is the first of three countries Council members are visiting this week.

The 15 ambassadors are also travelling to Côte d’Ivoire and Sierra Leone during the mission which includes a meeting with the Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS).
