Secretary-General condemns deadly blasts in Syria
Listen /The UN Secretary-General has repeated his call for all sides in Syria to cease armed violence following two deadly bomb attacks in the country's capital on Thursday.
In a statement, Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned the blasts which killed more than 50 people and injured scores of others.
Martin Nesirky is the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.
"Major-General Robert Mood, the head of the UN Supervision Mission in Syria, visited one of the sites of today's attacks and said it was yet another example of the suffering brought upon the people of Syria from acts of violence."
The Secretary-General also underscored the need for Syrians to immediately and fully cooperate with UN efforts to end the crisis in Syria.
