France needs to focus on creating jobs as it deals with the ongoing European financial crisis, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Richard Torres, author of the recent World of Work report by the ILO says cutting back on public spending has not reduced Europe's financial problems.

He says a policy shift will help France and other countries in the region move forward.
