Jazz is "most democratic music" says legendary Jimmy Heath

Jimmy Heath is a legendary saxophonist who has spent 60 years playing jazz with some of the greatest musicians.
He is one of the performers in a concert to mark the first International Jazz Day in the United Nations General Assembly Hall on Monday evening.
The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) proclaimed the Day in November 2011 "as part of its efforts to build bridges of dialogue and understanding between all cultures and societies."
Derrick Mbatha got a chance to talk with Mr. Heath about International Jazz Day during a rehearsal on the eve of the concert.
