Rural women "desperate" for help with mental health issues

By the year 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) predicts depression will be among the major health concerns globally.

But rural women, particularly in developing countries, frequently lack access to professionals who can help them fight depression and other mental health problems stemming from changing cultural roles, inequality, discrimination, and poverty.

During the recent meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) Dianne Penn sat down with Nancy Wallace of the World Federation for Mental Health to find out more.
