“Mood of optimism increasing” in Côte d’Ivoire
Listen /Côte d’Ivoire is making steady progress returning to normalcy following a post-election crisis in November 2010.
The top United Nations envoy to the West African country, Bert Koenders, said the security situation has improved and that a sense of optimism was returning to the West African country.
But he has cautioned that most of the root causes of the problems in Côte d’Ivoire have not been fully addressed.
Mr. Koenders has been discussing the situation in Côte d’Ivoire with Jean-Pierre Ramazani.
