Bangladeshi peacekeepers with the UN Mission in South Sudan are deployed to Likuangole Payam, Jonglei State

Recent fighting in South Sudan's Jonglei State has forced more than 20,000 people into hiding, according to the Deputy UN envoy to South Sudan, Lise Grande.

The UN has located at least 10,000 people in Pibor, the town next to Likuangole where the attacks took place.

The majority are hiding in the bush, with no food, clothes or basic necessities, many having fled with just the clothes on their backs.

Ms. Grande, who is also the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, spoke to Jocelyne Sambira about plans to respond to the humanitarian crisis.
