Djibouti joins the African Union force in Somalia

Djiboutian troops arrived in Mogadishu to join the African Union's peacekeeping force.

The first troops from Djibouti have arrived in Somalia to serve in the African Union’s peacekeeping force, AMISOM.

The East African nation has given a boost to the 10,000-strong AMISOM.

Meanwhile, conflict and drought continue to force Somalis in exile. Many are crossing into Djibouti into overcrowded refugee camps.
