Spouses and mothers of migrant families more vulnerable

Language barriers and cultural differences are just some of the hurdles that asylum seekers and economic migrants face, according to Anna Swaiis, a social worker educated and trained in the United Kingdom.

The mothers and spouses, in particular, experience considerable distress at being uprooted from their normal lives.

Anna Swaiis has recently worked with African families in the area of child protection and helped families without legal status to return home.
