Tunisia map

Just nine months after the ousting of President Ben Ali, Tunisia is preparing for its first comprehensive general elections.

On Sunday, four million Tunisians will get the opportunity to elect members of the country's Constituent Assembly that will draft a new constitution.

Parliamentary and presidential elections are expected to take place in the months ahead.

As campaigning draws to an end on Friday night, there are mixed feelings of new hope for the future, but also cynicism over the slow-pace of reforms, among the country's young and old.

Intissar Kheriji, an activist voted in London on Thursday where she lives, but made her way to the capital, Tunis, for some last-minute campaigning for this historic election.
