Aid agencies appeal for more funds for Pakistan flood efforts

Pakistan: flood victims

Donors are being urged to provide funds to feed 2.5 million Pakistanis affected by floods in the southern province of Sindh.

The World Food Programme (WFP) says it has already fed over a million people in eight districts of Sindh.

WFP says the 27 million dollars received so far will allow them to feed those affected by the floods until the end of November.

Over 1.5 million houses have been damaged and three million acres of crops destroyed, since rains pounded Pakistan in September.
