Peacekeeping and Libya on India's Security Council agenda
India says it will focus on peacekeeping and will urge the warring sides in Libya to call a ceasefire as it takes over the Presidency of the Security Council for August.
India, as a non-permanent member of the Council has not held the rotating Presidency for 19 years.
Hardeep Singh Puri the Indian Ambassador to the UN says he won't be using the month-long stint to further the country's bid for permanent membership.
Daniel Dickinson asked him if he was disappointed that India is holding the Presidency during August, when the diplomatic community typically leaves UN headquarters in New York.
