The human rights situation in Iraq remains fragile as armed violence continues in the country.

That's according to a new report released by the United Nations.

3,000 Iraqi civilians were killed violently in 2010, according to a new UN report.

These killings have been largely carried out by armed insurgents and terrorist groups.

The report also highlights the lack of basic services and entrenched poverty as one of the "silent" violations affecting Iraqis.

Rupert Colville from the UN Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights -OHCHR spoke to Jocelyne Sambira in detail about the ongoing violations.
