Die hard Qadhafi loyalists are still battling it out in the capital Tripoli, where media reports indicate that rebel forces are in control.
The UN and its diplomatic partners are calling for the release of Libya's frozen assets to empower the opposition-led National Transitional Council and allow it to set up a new government.
