Engaging the youth of today to run the world of tomorrow

Ronan Farrow

Perhaps no one knows more about engaging the youth of today than Ronan Farrow. He was a child prodigy, who has grown up to be a humanitarian and activist, among other things.

The 24-year-old says having young people at the center of programs that foster positive change around the world is key.

Farrow is a Special Adviser to U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton for global youth issues and director of the U.S. State Department's Global Youth Issues office.

He recently spoke at the UN High-Level meeting on Youth sponsored by the International Labour Organisation and the UN Programme on Youth (UNPY) to promote partnerships between young people and the private sector.

Julie Walker spoke with Farrow about his work and how youth around the globe are affecting change.
