UN youth champion Monique Coleman promotes civic engagement

As a UN youth champion, actress and singer Monique Coleman travels the world promoting youth civic engagement.
On Wednesday, she brought that message to a full day of events in New York organized by the UN programme on Youth (DESA), the ILO, and its partners to promote partnerships between young people and the private sector.
She says it's very important for the business world to not only invest in young people, but to build the kind of relationships that will help ensure that future generations thrive.
